Thank you!
For the fabric fun in the Far North
Fabric-a-brac Kaitaia
The 2026 Kaitaia event was in May 2026.
Fabric-a-brac is a fun fabric and sewing supplies market where you can shop for all sorts of fabric/fibre, patterns, haberdashery, tools, accessories and more. It brings the sewing and creative community together to share stashes, stories, new trends and delight in our mutual love of textiles.
Fabric-a-brac is volunteer-run, and all proceeds will be donated to Far North Hospice.
Selling fabric
If you have a stash you’d like to sell, you can come and take a stall. You pay for a table space. (which goes to our hospice) but anything you make on the day is yours to keep.
Pop-up cafe
We will have tea, coffee and sweet treats for sale in our pop-up cafe, so you can sit down and chat over your new projects and fabric purchases. All proceeds from the cafe also go to Hospice.
Donating fabric
For those who need to de-clutter and wish to donate to Hospice for this event, you can donate your stash to Far North Hospice closer to the time of the event. Reduce waste by finding new uses.
Buying fabric
BRING CASH as many of the stallholders will be selling by cash only.
Gold coin koha appreciated.
If you are looking for some new inspiration for future projects, great bargains, beautiful old fabric and quirky bits – Fabric-a-brac is for you. Come along and pick up some fantastic sewing-related bargains and support Hospice at the same time! We will update the community of what else is on offer as this event grows.
