GREYTOWN

2024

We had a wonderful event in 2024, raising $1350 for Hospice Wairarapa. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us!

About Fabric-a-brac Greytown

Our Wairarapa event is held in Greytown, in late January.

It’s held on Wellington Anniversary, in conjunction with the annual Sidewalk Sale in Greytown so it’s a great excuse to have a weekend away! It’s held in the Greytown Town Hall on Main St.

Fabric-a-brac is a fun fabric and sewing supplies market where you can shop for vintage and modern sewing and upholstery fabric, patterns, haberdashery and more. It brings the sewing community together to share stashes, stories and delight in our mutual love of textiles.

Fabric-a-brac is volunteer-run, and is a fundraiser for hospice – in Greytown this is Hospice Wairarapa. All profits from this event are donated to their work.

This event is held annually on Wellington Anniversary weekend at the end of January.

If you have a stash you’d like to sell, you can come and take a stall. You pay a stallholder fee (which goes to Hospice) but anything you make on the day is yours to keep.

If you have fabric, haberdashery or patterns you’d like to move on, but don’t want to have a table, you can donate (locations TBC). This will all go onto the hospice table on the day, and all profits will go to their wonderful work.

BRING CASH as many of the stallholders will be selling by cash only.

GOLD COIN ON ENTRY IS APPRECIATED.

If you are looking for some new inspiration for future projects, great bargains, funky old fabric and quirky bits  – Fabric-a-brac is for you. Come along and pick up some fantastic sewing-related bargains.
