About Fabric-a-brac Wairarapa

Fabric-a-brac is a fun market where you can shop for vintage and modern sewing and upholstery fabric, patterns, haberdashery, yarn and sewing supplies.

Run by volunteers, the annual pop up event brings the sewing community together to share stashes and stories and delight in our mutual love of textiles, all while fundraising for our region’s hospice. All proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Hospice Wairarapa.

Selling fabric

If you have a stash you’d like to sell, you can apply for a table. Your $50 stallholder fee for the day is donated to hospice and sales you make on the day are yours to keep.

Donating fabric

If you have sewing supplies you’d like to move on, but don’t want to have a table of your own, you’re welcome to donate them to us to sell at one of the shops listed below. 100% of this money goes to Hospice Wairarapa.

  • Hospice Wairarapa Shop – Greytown
  • Hospice Wairarapa Shop – Masterton
  • Mr Feather’s Den – Featherston

Buying fabric

The doors open at 10am. You’ll need to be early to get the first pick. Bring a tote bag to carry your haul, and cash, as most stallholders will be selling by cash only. There is an ATM in the foyer of our venue.

2025

Thank you to all our wonderful stallholders and customers in January. We had so many keen stallholders that we filled the Greytown Town Hall to capacity and spilled out onto the courtyard as well. Together, we raised $3880 to support the invaluable work of Hospice Wairarapa. Hip hip hooray!

2024

In 2024 we raised $1350 for Hospice Wairarapa. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us!
